Ultimate Arcade Football Game Turns Global Football Stars Into Stylised Action Heroes. (in stores now)

FIFA Street 3 is available in stores now. This arcade football game features international superstars Ronaldinho, Peter Crouch, and Gennaro Gattuso on the front of pack and delivers a new look that turns the game’s global football icons into stylised action heroes who perform over-the-top trick moves.

The third chapter in the FIFA Street series from EA SPORTS™ creates a hyper-real world where football’s biggest stars perform to an eclectic selection of music seamlessly infused into their surroundings. Using a simplified control system that enables you to easily perform over-the-top trick moves, the game’s environments pulsate and explode to life with every well-timed tackle, outrageous trick move or unstoppable shot on goal.

FIFA Street 3 features over 250 of the world’s best players representing 18 of the top international national teams. Decked out in authentic training kits, every player has been rendered into a stylised caricature and boasts his own, distinctive style of play with unique abilities to match. Whether you’re after brawn, brains, silky skills or crunching tackles to complete your team, the perfect street player is out there. Choose from Tricksters, Enforcers, Playmakers and Finishers to give you different options on the ball and make your mark on the street.

EA unveiled today an international selection of artists and music that make up the soundtrack of FIFA Street 3, the newest installment of the EA SPORTS BIG™ street football arcade series. Hand selected to bring the exhilarating football experience to life through environments that pulsate to the beats, the FIFA Street 3 in-game soundtrack features 37 songs representing a resurgence in electronic music and brings the beautiful game back to the streets.

The game’s environments pulsate and explode to life with every well-timed tackle, outrageous trick move or unstoppable shot on goal.

A playable demo of FIFA Street 3 for the Xbox 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 is now available for download. The PLAYSTATION3 downloadable demo is available at the PLAYSTATION Store and the Xbox 360 downloadable demo is available on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The FIFA Street 3 soundtrack boasts an extraordinary mix of music gathered from around the globe, hand picked to represent different regions and their passion for the game. It includes songs by Chromeo (Canada), MC Amilcka (Brazil), Datarock (Norway), Junkie XL (Holland), M.I.A. (Sri Lanka/ London), and Underworld (London).

Trio Will Appear As Stylised Action Heroes Performing Over-the-Top Trick Moves

It was announced today that international football superstars Ronaldinho, Peter Crouch, and Gennaro Gattuso will be featured world wide on the front packs of FIFA Street 3, the newest iteration of the EA SPORTS BIG™ street football arcade series.

FIFA Street 3 brings these players, and others like them, to life as stylised action heroes in a hyper-real world that merges the game’s biggest stars with environments that pulsate to the music in exotic locations around the world. Ronaldinho, Crouch and Gattuso represent three of the different types of specialist players created in game, where gamers can choose to play with Tricksters, Playmakers, Finishers and Enforcers for different options on the ball and a different gameplay experience. Gamers get the chance to combine these different types of specialist players and associated skills to create the ultimate street football team.

"FIFA Street 3 is about turning football icons into eye-popping characters through the game’s stylised art direction for an over-the-top arcade soccer experience," said producer Joe Nickolls. "Ronaldinho, Crouch and Gattuso represent three of the different types of players available in our game and we were able to exaggerate their qualities to really create larger-than-life characters."

Ronaldinho, the cover athlete on the original FIFA Street, is a global megastar and the Brazilian International and FC Barcelona midfielder’s list of accomplishments includes a FIFA World Cup winner’s medal, the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year, as well as the 2005 European Footballer of the Year award.

Joining Ronaldinho will be Italian World Cup-winning footballer Gennaro Gattuso. The creative midfielder, who plays for A.C. Milan, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League title in the 2002-03 and 2006-07 seasons, continues the tradition of world-class athletes donning the FIFA franchise covers. It is Gattuso’s first appearance on an EA SPORTS™ or EA SPORTS BIG cover.

Completing the trio of world class players will be Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch. Liverpool’s top goal scorer in the 2006-07 season, Crouch has also been a consistent goal scorer for the England national team. He will have his 6’7’’ height amplified to compliment his ball-striking and finishing skills and help to create a new soccer experience.
